Are you frustrated using your camera's automatic settings? Do you wish you knew how to work more creatively with your camera? Would like to refresh your skills and improve your photography?
If you answered yes to any of the above then this is the workshop for you ! This training will enable you to confidently use your digital camera in a more effective and creative manner. So you'll be shooting manually in no time. I will ensure that we follow COVID precautions during our time together and still make it fun, in fact me not being able to touch your camera, means you will learn so much more. Once you have secured your place with deposit I will email you the full outline of the days events.
What you will need: Digital camera with manual controls Tripod if you have one A willingness to creatively explore, learn and play No previous experience required
You will learn:
To use your camera in full manual mode To correctly expose your photographs To control the aperture (your f stop number) To control the shutter speed (the time of exposure) To control the ISO (your camera's light sensitivity) To adjust the aperture to use depth of field creatively To adjust the shutter speed for long exposure and freeze framing (if you have a tripod) To demystify the white balance settings Tips for making more interesting compositions
Having over 30 years experience working with a camera herself, Aishling has fine tuned a course structure which blends an equal amount of theory with practical application. Here you will benefit from group as well as one to one tuition ensuring your digital photography skills move to the next level. This training is suited toward the complete beginner as well as seasoned photographers.
Aishling has led workshops for as long as she has been creating her art work. She has also exhibited this work widely in Ireland, Iceland, Sweden, Greece, Spain, USA, Scotland and so on and so on and is a member of the FISL the Icelandic Contemporary Photographic Association.
