The Healing Room

Her work ethic is second to none and I have seen her achieve greatness from very little.
- Dorothy Laity

In collaboration with Hilltown Studio Theatre and Leader funding, the Healing Room was devised and brought into existence over a 9 day digital audio course at Hilltown in September 2013.  The individual sounds of seven chakra tuned crystal singing bowls were recorded and then converted to the Solfeggio frequencies. The tones were edited to form a 30 minute meditation. The meditation guides the participant energetically to work up from the root chakra activating it and up through the seven main energy wheels towards the crown. It then gently grounds the participant back down moving through all the centers returning to the root to close.

These tones are presented with a projection of photographic images captured over many years in many lands, mostly landscapes as well as imagery from sacred sites around the world. The complete installation takes over a darkened room and places at its centre a copper frame pyramid which has a seat inside where the participant can sit. Participants are asked to enter the space one at a time as it is a dedicated space for healing. This installation had its first showing at the Hilltown Perform event on May 25th 2014 and is continually growing.
